Well I promised one so here it is. Im officially a Sports/Concert/Theater ticket broker :) I registered my website last night after much brainstorming on a name. The site is not up and running yet but it will be soon. The ticket site is called The Ticket Vault Ill post again when it is up and running.
The main reason Im doing this site as I attend many events around here and there is always only crappy tickets available, and the good seats are crazy prices. I will now be selling these great seats and just above face value to cover my fees and make my time worthwhile. The reason Ill be able to sell these cheaper then most is Im not relying on this site to make my living as others do, Im just going to be doing this as a hobby.

Go Team!
Well Im a slacking blogger, but anyway I lost 3 more lbs this week and at about 21lbs for the contest and 4th place over all. 2 weeks left to weight in so Im hoping to break the 30lb barrier which will take me down to 232 which I think is decent for beig 6'2 but I want to eventually get to 220lbs.
Have a few big things coming up that I can't wait to share for the few of you out there, one I should be able to announce tomorrow and the other hopefully by Friday night. Hope everyone has a good week.
And remember, only you can prevent forrest fires.

Here Ill make the country some money....
Here is the article Im starting with Marijuana. According to this 30 million people smoke marijuana in the US regularly. Ok let's see these regular smokes spend $100 a year on marijuana. That is $3 billion per year. So why don't we just legalize marijuana and put a 10% tax on it the same way we tax cigarettes? Per year that would bring in $300,000,000 a year in taxes. That would get rid of the marijuana drug war we have going on. We can police it the same way we police drinking and driving, and save money on DEA/Border Patrol/etc.
Just my opinion, for what it's worth...

Angel Season is Here!!!

Finally Friday
Glad its finally here, even though I get a two day weekend Im ready for a break. I might be going to the Nascar Nationwide race tomorrow with my uncle and aunt, and may go to the actual Nascar race Sunday since they dropped the prices to $30 because nobody is going. It seems that you can get a lot of good deals our there now and days because nobody is going anywhere. We went to the movies and dinner last night and there were only a handful of people in each place.
It's weird at work lately on these Fridays as well, since the state workers take every other Friday off, the parking alot across from my building is completely empty today and getting to work is much easier. Hopefully things turn around soon but it doesn't look like it is.

Text Messaging
It's called Chat To Text and it allows you to get text messages from your friends on Facebook, Bebo, and soon MySpace (they're working on a MySpace one now). You just put this little widget on your profile page and your friends can send you a text message, and you can reply from your cell phone.
You don't need any fancy cell phone, any cell phone that can text will work. It's kind of like Instant Messaging through text messaging through your Facebook/Bebo/MySpace page.
Anyway, check it out for yourself:
http://www.chattotext.com/amember/go.php?r=6956&i=l0
As you'll see in the video, the best part is that you can make some serious cash just by spreading the word...like I am right now!

Busy Busy
So been busy the last week thats why the lack of blogs. Was off 5 days so I was relaxing most of the time except for when my wife was sick for a few days then I was waiting on her. Things are going well, the cats are getting along great, my weight loss is doing well (15 lbs so far) and Angels season is coming up so what more can I need? Well more money just like everyone else but thats another story.
Get to do my taxes this weekend for the first time since getting married plus she owns her own business so things will be a bit more complicated this year, good thing that "I have people".
Any of you American Idol fans, for some of you that know me already you can be expecting some commentary soon especially with my "vote for the worst" info that you need. I think this year we will definetely be behind Tatiana Del Toro as shes crazy and I need her to stay longer. Anyway have a good week everyone.

Worn Out
Been working out now almost everyday trying to lose some weight. So far with our contest at work Im down about 13lbs for the 4 weeks which is pretty good. Im hoping today I lose some more. Valentines is coming up this weekend and the wife and I are going to be low key and just make dinner at the house then go to a movie, we're trying to save up money and pay things off to have a kid and a house next year, in no particular order.
Ive been slacking getting the baby cats pictures up, I have like 20 at my house but I tend to blog here at work and I can't upload anything on this computer as it is just kicked out. I am off the next 5 days so Im sure one of those days Ill drag myself onto the computer. Hope everyone has a good day, and I woke up this morning it was 34 degrees, thats cold for Orange County but warm for some of you readers out there :P

Mustard Rules
I put mustard on everything, Im not sure why. I just like my food to have a spice to it. Just recently I started using dijon mustard and my life has changed. I live that more :) My wife and I go this Irish pub and they have this mustard called "colemans" this mustard is great. You put it on a burger and it literally burns your nose, kind of like the feeling you get from wasabi. I looked it up online and it's like 7 bucks for a little bottle so I though forget that Ill stick with the regular stuff.
That is until I met it's match last weekend. I went to trader joes and needed some mustard so I got the TJ brand dijon mustard and this blows the colemans out of the water. Just a little dab and my nose burnt, my eyes watered, and my tastebuds gave me a high five. If you like spicey mustard you got to go search for it.

lazy days
Well I had 4 days off and didn't do too much. We did though get a new baby kitten this weekend named "fiona" Im hoping to get a picture up on here soon. Shes 10 weeks old with black and orange spots all over. Our other cat Austin still isn't quite sure about this new addition to our family but this morning the baby rubbed against him and he did a little love purrr so it looks like we're headed in the right drection.
Besides that not much going on, was a great SuperBowl last weekend and I had fun with my wife, her mom, my bro in law and baby nephew along with our dog Shasta. We just hung around and the main excitement was the 3d half time commercials.
In some more good news I got my first payment from the revolutionary matrix I joined last week, though was only $2 it's $2 more then I had last week :)

Nothin Much
Nothing much going on this week so far which I guess is a good thing. I found our other cat this morning in the courtyard crying for no reason, we figure it is because he is looking for Hogan. Been a few days of crying so far for him so I think we may look for a new kitten this weekend to keep him company. He loves our neighbors kitten so I think it will be ok.
It's tax season so we've been busy getting all of our stuff together since my wife opened up her own practice this year and we got married in 08 things are much different then the past when it comes to taxes. Btw who knew you could write off dry cleaning when you own a business? I do now :)
Superbowl is this weekend, and my team for the 15th time in a row isn't there so I don't really care who wins, though Id like to see AZ pull off the upset. I really just like the commercials this year and need to stick to my diet which is always a challenge when it comes to the superbowl.
That's about it, have a good one and if your bored check out my other block about online money making.

Forgot to mention
Weighed in again this week on our biggest loser contest and I am down 2 more lbs this week for a total of 9 for the 2 weeks. Most the others gained so I don't feel so bad for only losing 2.
So Cal + Rain = CHAOS
So it was raining this morning here in southern california, for most of you, you think what's the big deal? Here it is a big deal because for some mystery nobody knows everyones iq drops 50 points. I live 7 miles from work and in that time there were 3 different accidents and a guy laying on the ground with cops around him. I live in a nice area so this isn't really normal, but when the rain hits all bets are off as it turns into a demolition derby. The wife and I talk about one day moving to Tahoe to get away from all the crazy people and hopefully one day we can do that, maybe when we retire or something.
I guess I shouldn't complain about the rain though as some of the blog I follow there are pictures of snow and Im mad about it being 65 degrees here.

Ok Let be positive again
The man, the myth, the legend is turning 60 today. You know who Im talking about right? Only the greatest singer ever - Steve Perry. I know Im to young to of enjoyed his live stuff but I love Journeys stuff I see tribute bands all the time along with Styx as my 2nd favorite.
Shaws/Blade I think has a new cd coming out soon which should be good, for those of you who don't know they are from Styx and Damn Yankees.
Also, LOST started last night and of course was great, what else do you expect. Everything else is going well, though the house still seems empty we are moving on and hoping the other kitty can entertain himself for awhile till we decide the time is right to get him a new companion.

Sad Day
Well after being so excited about the new president I got bad news last night after work. Was on my way home and got a phone call that I didn't know so I answered it and it was the local police animal control. Apparently my cat Hogan got hit by a car and died. It sucks as we live in a nice courtyard and they never venture out towards the street so for some reason he decided to go over there. My other cat is starting to stress out this morning as he knows something is wrong. This was mine and my wifes first animal together so it is devastating. Here is a list of a few things I loved about him:
Whenever I got out of the shower he felt the need to lick my head like I was his baby
Would walk around the house seeming to have a conversation by himself
Whenever he was hungry he would herd us towards his bowl so we couldn't walk past it
He was a great cat that will be sorely missed.

History in the Making
Now Im only 30 years old so it's not like I have a lot of experience with presidents. Ive been around for Bush Sr. Clinton and Bush Jr. and this is really the first time Im excited about a president. This is the first time Im glued to the TV waiting for this man to take over office. I know things will change as anyone could of been elected and things would change from this moron we have now. But with Obama he is such a 180 degree turn from Bush it's not even funny.
Im not a big political guy but I do think he will steer us in the right direction. I get frustrated at republicans and liberals alike because if it is not their guy they think we're all going down for the next 4 years or more (hopefully). Just like typical mankind though to judge a book by its cover and not actually read the whole thing. (did that make sense?) Lets start to critique the guy after he's been in office for at least a few months.
Regardless Im proud today as this is what America needed to come together.

Crazy
How crazy was that plane crash yesterday? Anytime I hear plane crash now I just think of 9/11 especially since it happened in New York. Whoever the pilot is needs a huge raise as it was unbelievable what he pulled off.
Im off to Vegas in a few hours so we'll see how that goes, I don't plan on gambling much but if I do I hope I come home with the same size wallet or bigger :)

Vegas Baby
Well Im off for my trip to Vegas tomorrow morning and that will be my first true test to this new diet. I went running last night up and down stairs and my legs are still in pain today. Im hoping to stop by the Alien Jerky place and get some obducted cow jerky because it's really good :) There is no real special reason we are all going except just to go and get away, after holidays, layoffs and everything else we just need a weekend away from everything here in Calfornia.
Its hard to tell right now what season we are in as it was 38 degrees last week and today it was 75 and 60mph winds. No wonder Im always getting headaches as the climate changes so much. Though I heard this morning Maine was expecting -20 degrees so I guess I can't complain too much.
I am hoping to get some pictures up soon of things and add links to my stories, Ive just been lazy. I probably wont put many if any of me but i will be sure to share pictures of my animals and other interesting things I find on my journey.

Some Shows
So I started watching this True Beauty show last night, its a train wreck. It's hard to believe there are people out there that try to get things for free by their looks and the morons who actually give them these things. All they are, are strippers with their clothes on. Just think you go to a strip club and you give a girl/guy $20 for what a dance? Lame.... If someone ever came to me I would laugh in their face as you got to be a moron and think that person is ever going to do anything for you.
American Idol started last night which Im excited about, it's my guilty pleasure. I had a softball game last night so Ive only watched a few minutes of it so I look forward to that when I get home. Biggest Loser was also on last night and I did see that which was pretty good. I weigh in today at work so we'll see how I did this week, honestly Ive dranken more water and worked out more in the last 7 days then in probably the last 5 years so Im hoping for some good results. I will post when I get them.
See ya!

Just Another Manic Monday
Ill wait.......Ok now that your done singing that song will move on. I had a pretty uneventful weekend. I went to see Valkerie on Friday night and that was a pretty good movie though Tom Cruise shouldn't of been in it. Im not sure who should of been but he didn't come off as a Nazi character.
Saturday I took my brother out with the rest of the family for his birthday at a crappy place Red Robin. My dad new step mom old step mom and my sis and her family were there. Was pretty fun till my dad talked about his wedding and my ex step mom talked about her new bf, so that made it for a uncomfortable situation.
Watched the golden globes last night, I think it was the first time I actually sat and watched a whole awards show. Just a few notes from that:
1. What is with Drew Barrymores hair?
2. Billy Ray Cirus is annoying just looking at him.
3. I agreed with maybe 20% of the awards (the office and californication got screwed)
4. Demi Moore is still hot.

For the love of....
One day Ill figure this blog dealio out. I add things half work half don't who knows. Im a huge baseball fan and I tried to add a few feeds and none work. I find some others I like but some slapnut pastes google adsense all over it. Anyone have good sites to teach me what the hells Im doing? I would love to make this site look like at least a 7th grader could do it. Im at the 3rd grade level I think right now.
I hate Att / Cingular
More details to follow probably Monday, but yes I hate them and the fact Ryan Seacrest endorces them I really hate them.
This will explain why till I return with the story:

Working for the weekend
Finally Friday only 6 hours to go till Im done for a few days. Seems like every week is getting longer and longer. Right now the only thing getting me through is my coffee and my XM Radio. The diets been going good last few days, we made some tofu thingy last night which was actually really great. The good thing about the tofu Ive learned is that it absorbed whatever food it is with so it can take the place of chicken or beef just by adding some spices.
Went down to Balboa Beach last night to just walk around with the wife and it was cold as hell but it was nice checking out all the nice beach houses and day dreaming a bit.
Going to my visit my bro tomorrow as it was his birthday yesterday so that should be fun, we also may take a detour to the wineries after for some drinky drinky.
My first website is up and running as you can see on the side bar there, my jobs and loans sites should be up soon as well. Please support it by checking them both out and fell free to click through some of the ads :)

Making The Cut
So I bought Jillian Michaels new book "Making the Cut". It's a great book so far and I recommend it to anyone looking to lose about 20 lbs and that is dedicated to it. The only part I don't recommend is a guy like me going into Barnes and Noble and having to ask guys for this book to make a sexier looking me. I got a few looks because it was the last copy and they had to search for it. I saved myself in the end and said "oh ya it's for my wifes birthday present" haha Yahtzee.
Wednesday, January 7, 2009
Well that was depressing
A bit more then I thought I would weigh, came in at 262lbs so I guess will see how things go next week. Im going to get the Jillian Michaels "Make the Cut" book tonight at barnes and noble to go with my Biggest Loser Cookbook. If your looking for low calorie recipes these are great cookbooks.
Biggest Loser
So the biggest loser starts today at my work and I got a lot of work ahead of me. What do I do to prepare you ask? I binge this morning before the weigh in to get the highest weight possible. I just consumed about 1400 calories...bleh. The new diet Im starting tonight that Ive gone shopping and already prepared consists of me having 1400 calories total a day.
Ive just finished my last soda, burger, fries, beer, etc. Im going to Las Vegas next weekend so that will be my first test. I figure Ill weight in at about 260lbs seems like a lot but since Im 6'3 it evens itself out without looking too fat. I watched the show last night and couldn't believe some of the stuff that happened, and thats what motivates me to win and lose weight this time. Of course not counting that shitty breakfast I just had that I feel sick from. Weigh in is in about 1 hr so Im hoping I can not throw it up before then to get maximum weight :)
My new website is almost done, should be done by tonight then Im working on 2 more that I hope to have at least 1 done by next week.

I am the Cat Whisperer
So my cats have a love/hate relationship. One is a 22lb manly cat that is just huge, not fat just big. The other cat is a prissy 14lb mamas boy. Both males 1 house = fights. We got them both when they were 7 weeks old so they have grown up together and have always had play fights. Sometime the manly cat gets a bit carried away and bites while the girly cat crys and yells because it hurts him. Finally after a week of 3am fights I couldn't take it anymore and I did what any cat lover looking for an answer would do. I googled it :)
I read this article by a vet that seemed silly but I was willing to try it. He said that I should growl or hiss whenever they fight, that the cat would be so thrown off by the noise coming from his human that he will stop. So after explaining this to my wife, and after her laughing at me I decided I would give it a try. I got home about 5 and the fight started about 6. I let out the best hiss a human can do, and the result....? He stopped dead in his tracks, clinched the floor and looked at me and slowly made his way in my direction til he rubbed my leg purring.
The aftermath....
From the initial fight at 6pm till I left for work at 615am this morning, not one fight and he slept the whole night. So Im pitching my cat whisperer show to Animal Planet later today as I can now speak to the feline.

Halfway productive weekend
Well I got a bit accomplished this weekend. Caught up on my Tivo completely which hasn't happened in a few years. I cleaned out all the Christmas stuff and actually helped clean the house. Im getting ready for my new diet to start Tuesday so we'll see how that goes. The reason Im starting Tuesday is that we are having a contest at work so that should motivate me to lose a few lbs. Im shooting for 30 but any amount would make me happy.
Been working on a few websites that I hope to get up and running soon, a job one for people looking for jobs, student loans for students looking for loans and another. I know Im bored but it kills time and I get a little advertising money for them so it works out that I break even. Im hoping to get some more blogs up this week, now that the holidays are behind us I can focus on more important things like this blog and losing weight and doing some work in the process.

Im obsessed
Ive been watching Half Ton Teen, Half Ton Mom, and Half Ton Dad on TLC today. I can't stop watching it. Its crazy how people can let themselves go to 1000lbs. Im 25lbs over weight and I think Im obese. These people are ridiculous, and they wonder "how they got this way". When you watch them all they do is eat crap, it doesn't matter how many times a day you eat if you eat crap one time a day and just sit in front of a tv your going to gain weight. I can eat 5 meals a day but the fact none of it is fried and I at least walk a few miles each day I still lose weight.
If you get a chance check out the series my wife and I have been yelling at the tv this whole time !
